I was shocked to read Jennifer Graham’s Oct. 25 op-ed “Save the church! (kill the organs).” I am an organist who has loved the instrument since the first time I heard it as a child. It was a life-changing moment, and it decided the path of my life.

Besides the organ and its music, this path has brought hundreds of magnificent people into my life. I get to reach them every week, and receive their affection and esteem in return. Few people get to do what they love and be loved in return doing that.
