PHEW, that was close. It looked like the electorate might actually choose a candidate who supports the death penalty, has had nothing to say about bringing relief to the poor, will not hold the financial services industry accountable for nearly melting down the economy, supports the erosion of civil liberties that were begun during the Bush administration, and believes in the use of indiscriminate force — i.e., drones — to help achieve foriegn policy goals.
Oh, what? Obama DID win?
Never mind.
Maybe the next presidential election will provide a meaningful choice.
