voting is the easy thing; the hard part comes next: demanding that our newly elected leaders work together. We must resurrect the art of compromise even if it’s counter to our human nature to always be right.

We must hold our leaders to a higher standard, demand that reasonable solutions be considered, and require our government to be functional. We must avoid extremism, reject partisan gridlock, call out obstructionism, and expect progress.
