Donald Altschiller writes: Governors Bobby Jindal and Nikki Haley were brought up, respectively, in the Hindu and Sikh faiths but later converted to Christianity. While one shouldn’t doubt the sincerity of their religious conversion, the real question is whether Republican supporters who advocate for a more racially diverse leadership would have embraced these candidates if they had adhered to their family religions.
