Carlan writes: I wish the Globe, The New York Times, and other media would stop referring to the young people who will qualify for in-state tuition rates at Massachusetts colleges, as the result of recent action by Governor Patrick, as “illegal immigrants.” They will be documented and legal residents of Massachusetts, and thus rightly eligible for the tuition break.
