Your article “Brown in a political dilemma on tax position” (Page A14, Dec. 6) indicates that Senator Scott Brown’s dilemma is that, no matter which vote he casts regarding the tax hike for the affluent 2 percent, his moderate supporters in Massachusetts would be alarmed if he didn’t vote for the hike, and his conservative supporters would be alienated if he were to vote for higher taxes on high-earning Americans.
So, he has a conundrum. Whom shall he risk alienating?
