RE “PLAN to burn waste opposed” (Page A1, Dec. 31):

Both the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and environmental groups need to compromise on the incinerator issue and support improvements in management of current regulations as well as the adoption of innovative technologies that can meet Massachusetts’ stringent air and solid waste regulations.
