Edward Markey announced he is running to join fellow Delocrat Elizabeth Warren in the Senate.

WITH REGARD to Scott Brown’s latest, far-fetched accusation levied at a political opponent (“Brown swipes at Markey’s residency,” Page A1, Jan. 3), all I can say is that Representative Edward J. Markey lives right across the street from me, and I had the pleasure of talking with him on his front porch about a week ago, before he left to go to bed.

That was just one of the many times I have run into him at his Malden home over the years. I am going on 50 years in the same house, and I've had the pleasure of seeing him regularly from day one.
