WHILE I agree completely that our country would be better served if there were more women in Congress, Swanee Hunt showed herself to be less than a serious advocate (“For the sake of democracy, elect women,” Op-ed, Jan. 2).
Any op-ed calling for women to bring us to a bipartisan government and using Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz as an example to get us there is completely absurd. Wasserman Schultz is the most partisan member of Congress. As the current chair of the Democratic National Committee, being a partisan is a large part of her job description.
