I was disappointed to see the Globe run an editorial cartoon (“A Weapon Guide for the Uninformed”) that seemed to equate the danger of guns with that of automobiles, common household objects, and human hands and feet.
While they are sometimes used as weapons, automobiles, hammers, knives, and human hands and feet have legitimate, more common uses. And drunk driving is, of course, illegal.

Also for sport, competition, collecting. If your narrow view of guns is that they are just for killing do you advocate banning all firearms? Those used for hunting? Small caliber revolvers?
Of course you are disappointed, it is not in line with your "Guns are the worst of all evils" belief.
Now you have to figure out how to deal with facts, but if you are like most anti gun nuts I know, you will just skip over the facts and get on with trying to ban them, cause you just, well, hate them.
