Bias against snow meets a frosty reception

I must take issue with the Globe’s gleeful Feb. 2 Metro headline “We’ll take six more weeks of this,” which ran above an informational graphic reporting the measly snowfall total this winter to date.

I’m sure that a lot of Bostonians would prefer cross-country skiing or sledding on a crisp winter day than staring at the brown grass when it’s going to be below freezing anyway.

And how about the thousands of businesses in New England, from ski centers to plowers to snowmobile retailers, who rely a decent snow pack?

“Six more weeks of this” is bad for winter lovers and bad for business.
