The article “Proposal has contraceptive opt-out for religious groups” (Page A7, Feb. 2) says nonprofit religious groups will not have to pay to provide contraception coverage as it violates their freedom of religion.
I would ask why my freedom FROM religion should be compromised in order to give these groups an exemption from property and other taxes simply by forming an organization based on ancient myths to which many of us do not subscribe.

Interesting also that the rights of the employees who want coverage for contraception don't seem to be protected. I guess their only option is to find another employer.
Presumably those employees using contraceptives are avoiding maternity costs, so the financial burden on the organizations should be lower. Should those religious organizations be paying higher prices for their medical insurance coverage under the new law, would they still want to opt out?
Hmm. If you do not believe in the "acient myths"... why do you want to work for an organization that is based upon them?
Go work someplace else... Perhaps at one of Margaret Sangers eugenics clinics?
"Non-Profit" and "religious" are mutually exclusive terms.
