letters | out of joint over future of boys’ gymnastics

There may be simple solution that could save program

We are very disappointed in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association’s decision to drop boys’ gymnastics as a high school varsity sport. The MIAA spokesman said this action was taken because the National Federation of State High School Associations had indicated that it is no longer writing rules for boys’ gymnastics and the MIAA would need to write its own. USA Gymnastics, the US national governing body for gymnastics, would like the MIAA to reconsider its decision because it can provide the MIAA with competitive rules for its program.

Gymnastics provides a number of benefits to young men and women, including life skills that can benefit them for years to come.

" the MIAA would need to write its own [rules]."

Given the staffing level of MIAA hjeadquarters, I bet there just might be someone who would have the time to do that........   see

http://www.schtools.net/membersnew/documents/MIAA/staff-contact-information.htm    of whom 19 are MIAA staff at headquarters.

The remarkably pleasant salary levels of executive staff are available: visit  https://www.guidestar.org , create an account, and look at the Federal 990 (non-profit organization) tax returns....

Good luck!
