Insurers and health care providers have rigged the system against consumers (“Hospital fees shouldn’t apply for treatment in doctor’s office,” Editorial, Feb. 5). On two occasions I tried to get prices on tests at a clinic before getting them done. After getting bounced around by different departments, I still could not get a straight answer on what the tests would cost before having them done.

My insurance company was no help, as it directed me back to the clinic for answers I could not get.
