AFTER TWO careful readings, the reasoning of the Globe’s editorial condoning revision of history in the film “Lincoln” still escapes me (“As a teacher of history, Hollywood isn’t high school,” Feb. 18). I can see no justification for reversing bald truths in the pursuit of drama. Writers of movies are paid enough to expect that they could tell a story without perverting history.
