letters | washington, nation brace for cuts

Can’t they just hash this out?

I don’t understand why the Washington establishment has to be so cantankerous. It seems so easy to me — the Republicans have a plan, the Democrats have a plan. Why don’t they sit down with a cup of coffee and discuss their respective plans?

No side is going to get everything. We sent these people to Washington to do our business, not their political business. It seems as if playground egos have taken over down there.
