What a world it would be if a nun were pope

Ruth Graham got it exactly right in the Feb. 24 Ideas piece “What nuns built.” American nuns have labored for the poor, the elderly, and children for most of American history. They are smart, savvy, and totally dedicated to the mission of Jesus.

They have lived in poverty, chastity, and obedience while their male counterparts have not always lived up to their vows.
