Letters | FROM KANSAS WITH INTRANSIGENCE

Hard line on big government? That’s news to us here in Bay State

Ha ha ha. Only the Globe and Massachusetts readers would find the story of a congressman who actually says NO to more government programs and endless government giveaways to be a riveting subject for the front page (“The land of resistance,” April 4). No one here in the Bay State can even understand the concept, especially the Massachusetts Legislature and the governor.

Maybe they should all be flown to Jetmore, Kan. — first class, of course — for a lesson in how to make a smaller government work. Just maybe one of them would come back with even one idea about making government less expensive and more efficient.
