Liking Tyga’s music doesn’t mean endorsing its messages

RE “AN opportunity for music, and debate” (Editorial, April 4): I agree that choosing the hip-hop artist Tyga as the headliner of a campus festival at Harvard was not the wisest idea, but the best choice now is to let the show go on and not make a scandal about his misogynistic lyrics.

Just because the student committee wanted Tyga to perform doesn’t mean that the members agree with the messages in the titles and lyrics of his songs.
