Markey has outworked Lynch in Congress

THE FUNDAMENTAL issue in the Senate Democratic primary is almost universally ignored: which candidate is most likely to do the job if elected.

According to the Library of Congress website, Stephen Lynch sponsored 17 bills in the 111th Congress, while Edward Markey introduced 46. In the 112th, Lynch sponsored 6 bills, but Markey sponsored 84. In the current Congress, the pattern continues — Lynch proposing 7 bills, Markey 17.
