I READ Scot Lehigh’s column about the refusal of Democratic Senate candidates to reveal responses to interest-group surveys with dismay (“Covert commitments,” Op-ed, April 5).
I had always assumed that those responses were public documents. I’m shocked that’s not the case.
These candidates are seeking our vote. It is completely unacceptable for them to keep their answers a secret. While I am a lifelong Democrat, Markey and Lynch have now lost my vote. They will not get it back until they do the right thing and release their answers to these questionnaires.
