Action on the environment? Like watching ice melt

I am writing in regard to two unrelated stories in the May 16 Globe. Let me see if I have this right. For the president’s nominee to head the Environmental Protection Agency, we have 123 pages of questions and 234 pages of answers (“1 nominee, 1,000 questions,” Page A1). For our “National Strategy for the Arctic Region,” we have 13 pages (“A seat at the Arctic table,” Juliette Kayyem, Op-ed).

Am I the only one who sees something fishy?
