RE “DAVIS returns to raise awareness of gender roles in media” (G section, May 21): Did anyone else find it curious that the article about actress Geena Davis, who was in Boston to promote awareness about gender disparity in the media, mentioned her age, 57, twice? I presume that was an oversight. But can the same be said of the final question in the interview, which asked this Hollywood heavyweight, who founded an institute to study gender issues in the media, if she was “too busy raising a family”? Is that something that would ever be asked of a male movie star?
Clearly Davis’s institute is needed.
