Roe v. Wade may hang in balance

Lisa J. Barstow extrapolates from the decidedly prochoice stance in Massachusetts that there is no need to maintain a strong prochoice majority in the US Senate (“Markey supporters’ scare tactics over abortion smack of desperation,” Letters, June 12). This at a time when abortion rights are being eroded around the country and we are only one antiabortion Supreme Court justice away from overturning Roe v. Wade. They’re not “scare tactics” when the threat is very real.
