Bruins cold as ice at bargaining table

I enjoyed Kevin Cullen’s column on Patrice Bergeron (“Bergy belongs in Boston,” Metro, July 5), and couldn’t agree more.

I remember back about 20 years ago when the Boston Bruins were fighting with Ray Bourque over salary. I was driving down Interstate 93 and looked over at the new Garden being built, where ironworkers had written “Pay Ray,” in really big letters, on one of the steel girders going up.
