Competition calls for a level playing field

I was surprised by the article “Owners balk at rental registry” (Page A1, Aug. 27). As a landlord who follows the ordinance to register my property with the city, I hate having to compete against landlords who do not. A level playing field would save me more money than those inspection fees cost.

I can only hope that other cities follow Boston's lead.
