With today’s low wages, why work?

JOHN E. SUNUNU writes that “Adult participation in the workforce has fallen to its lowest level in 35 years — and nobody knows why.” Here’s a hint: 33 years of the free market and government policies designed to make the rich richer. It may be difficult, but Sununu should ask himself how hard he’d look for work if his only realistic possibilities were minimum wage jobs at Walmart or McDonald’s.
