Gronkowski’s outrageous act throws the whole league for a loss

As a New England Patriots fan for more than 20 years, I cannot remember watching a single member of the team commit an act of violence against a defenseless player such as Rob Gronkowski committed Sunday afternoon. Had it been committed on the street, Gronkowski’s act — throwing himself on a Buffalo Bills player who was face down on the sideline — would have landed him in jail. It was disgusting to watch, and the Patriots owners and coaches as well as the field judges and referees — the whole league, in my opinion — should be held publicly accountable. Gronkowski’s act is an inexcusable blight on the reputation of a fine football team.
