The Bellflower Street Fire, 1964

Fifty years ago, on May 22, 1964, a blaze started on Bellflower Street that destroyed a Dorchester neighborhood. The fire affected 35 homes in a four block area. Miraculously, no one was killed, but 300 people were left homeless. — Leanne Burden Seidel and Lisa Tuite
