reading this a yearand a half after the fact, pisses me off even more that Beckett and Lackey, and Gonzalez were on this team beyond 2011. They were paid millions of dollars to perform at a high level and lead, which they did not do. Gonzales was a stupid trade, another one of those where the GM had been enamored with him from afar, just like Julio Lugo, Eric Gane anybody? Crawford, just bad luck. He was worth pulling for.

and the manager had to take the fall for crap players.
