Kaylee Deluga

Division 1: Barnstable

The senior finished with 300 kills, 148 digs, 40 aces, and 40 blocks for the Division 1 state champions. The three-time Old Colony League All-Star is an All-Scholastic for the second time. She is on the honor roll and enjoys tennis and skiing.

Division 2: Fairhaven

The four-time South Coast Conference All-Star and two-time member of the MGVCA All-State Team broke her sister Kaleigh’s school record for most kills, finishing with 1,269. Charette, a senior, totaled a career 534 digs, 367 blocks, and 164 aces.

Megan Armburg

Division 3: Case

Armburg compiled 668 assists and 88 aces, both good for second-most in a season at Case. The senior setter reached her 1000th career assist, finishing with 1,287. The two-time South Coast Conference MVP will go to UMass-Dartmouth.

ALL-SCHOLASTICS

Sarah Arvidson

Andover, senior

The two-year captain had 417 service receptions, 198 kills, and 181 digs in being named the Merrimack Valley Conference co-MVP. The National Honor Society member has started all four years, and she also captains the tennis team.

Keane Brazda

Newton North, junior

The junior setter dished out 470 assists, had 240 kills, and served 102 aces to be named a Bay State League first-teamer. The All-American was also a member of the MGVCA Division 1 All-State Team. Brazda plays soccer and softball.

Brooke Bell

Melrose, junior

The two-time Middlesex League All-Star pacedMelrose to the Division 2 final with 596 assists and 64 kills, totaling a career 1,221 assists and 161 kills. The captain upheld a 98.91 service percentage, plays basketball, and made the honor roll.

Jenn Cabral

Case, senior

Cabral amassed 558 career kills, the second most in school history, in a career that saw her team win three South Coast Conference crowns and included a 2010 league MVP award. The outside hitter completed 211 of 236 passes this year.

Kayla Crook

Barnstable, junior

Crook dished out 680 assists this season, reaching her 1000th career helper in the process. Just a junior, the setter was on the last team standing in Division 1 for the second straight time. She enjoys skiing and made the honor roll.

Melissa Dal Pozzo

Reading, senior

The two-time Middlesex League MVP led the Rockets to the Division 1 North semifinals and played herself onto the Division 1 All-State Team in her second year as captain. She also captains the basketball team and is on the honor roll.

Alicia Mace

Brockton, senior

The outside hitter was twice named a Big Three Conference All-Star and MGVCA All-State Team member, including this season when she posted 190 kills and 39 aces. Mace also made the honor roll as a senior and hopes to study marine biology.

Alexis Michal

Central Catholic, senior

While captaining her Raiders to the Division 1 state finals, Michal totaled a team-high 534 assists, 204 service points, and 82 aces to be named the Merrimack Valley Conference Player of the Year. The setter was also a 2010 MVC All-Star.

Maya Midzik

Brookline, senior

The senior captain led the state with a 48.4 hitting percentage for the Division 1 Central/East champions. Midzik unleashed 340 kills with a 60.9 kill percentage for a spot on the MGVCA All-State Team. She has committed to Yale.

Elizabeth Sullivan

North Quincy, senior

The two-time Patriot League All-Star collected 380 digs and 65 aces this season for the Red Raiders. She is also a member of the MGVCA All-State Team and boasts a 4.0 GPA as a senior. She looks to continue her playing career in college.

Kelsey Weymouth

North Attleborough, senior

The four-time Hockomock League All-Star led the Red Rocketeers to the Division 1 South final. She also was named to the Division 1 All-State Team. Weymouth, who made the honor roll, plays lacrosse and has verbally committed to Stonehill.

Kelley White

Lincoln-Sudbury, senior

The Dual County League MVP led her team to the Division 1 state semifinals, averaging 10 kills, 12 digs, and 4 kills per match, a year after making the finals. The captain received high honors all four years and looks to major in engineering.

COACHES OF THE YEAR

Michael Frank

Division 1: Brookline

Frank clinched the Bay State League and Division 1 Central/East titles after a 20-3 season in his fifth year at Brookline. Frank (Brookline ’97) had ”a very talented and versatile team that was capable of winning any type of volleyball match.”

Hardy Mondesir

Division 2: Boston English

Mondesir led the Blue & Blue to an 18-1 record to clinch his third consecutive Boston City Championship. Mondesir, who sports a 55-3 career mark, said his team ”loves the sport. I wish they had one more season.”

Denise Levesque

Division 3: Case

The 2011 MGVCA Hall of Fame inductee headed a 22-2 season and her fourth trip to the Division 3 state final. Levesque has a 230-56 record in her 12 years coaching the two-time state champion Lady Cardinals.
