A team source said the goaltender’s move to skip the White House was “selfish.” And it may show that Thomas is often a loner within the Bruins organization.

Timmy, you're a great goalie, but if you hate America, take your megabucks and move to Canada.
Left Thomas with "few friends among the players?" Excuse me? The guy almost single-handedly won them the Stanley Cup. I would think he would be very popular indeed with the players. And who said he "hated America"? He never said that.
Get over it, everyone. Stick to hockey. Thomas's political opinions mean nothing in terms of defending the Cup.
From the perspective of my age, I strongly believe that in time he will regret this. When he is no longer able to play hockey and age is taking its toll, he will realize that you regret what you didn't do, not what you did. Also, Colorado Springs sounds right for him, it's a hotbed of religious and right wing fervor.
Just keep stopping pucks Timmy and all is forgiven!
he's a GOALIE!
Like Theo?
I think he's probably a better fit with the anti-government nutters in Idaho. Whenever I heard TT talk, he was never witty or very bright. Now I know what a dim lightbulb the guy is. He can make millions stopping a puck but this guy couldn't get a job at Home Depot based on his brains.
If he successfully defends the Cup, I hope he skips the Duck parade.
His teammates are not his friends because none are confederate flag carrying american born anglo-saxon protestants. They barely even speak to him because he has made it clear how he feels about them. He is a tea-party extremist who probably thinks President Obama is a Muslim foreigner and that the south should have won the war. Great goalie? Yes. Coward? Even more so...
