KPD, Interesting tinkering you would do with the All Star Game. but it won'y fly with fans, as they want to see their favorites from around the league actually play a game, such as it is. Quint Kessenich of Inside Lacrosse magazine would tinker with the NCAA Men's Final Four, splitting the semis from the final game by a week (instead of the current, basketball-like Saturday-Monday format) in theory to increase hype, thus fan interest. Problem there is that many fans travel many hours to see the best weekend that lacrosse offers. I often journey from the Rocky Mountains to the lacrosse FF. Asking us to travel twice in a week from, say, Baltimore, Chapel Hill, or Breckenridge, to Foxboro is simply too much, and many of us wouldn't bother.
I am tired of Kevin Dupont continuing to rehash Tim Thomas and the White House as if it is of great importance. Kevin - IT ISN'T! The meeting was optional, Tim followed his heart and did nothing more than others have done in the past. It wouldn't even been noticed if the media - that's you Kevin - didn't raise a bogus issue. Keep the politics out of the sport's page please. BTW, I felt this way about Schilling when he was with the Red Sox and talking about running of office. So Please just stop!
