Boys' hockey players of the week

Kevin Lacroix, Dennis-Yarmouth - The freshman goalie got his first start and made it count, stopping 48 shots in a 4-1 upset over No. 15 Falmouth.

Pat DeAngelo, Boston Latin - The senior forward’s first career goal turned out to be the game-winner against Haverhill, as the Wolfpack (9-0-3) remained undefeated and clinched a postseason berth.

Derek Petti, Tewksbury - The junior accounted for all four of his team’s goals during the week, including a hat trick against Dracut, as the Redmen went 1-0-1.


Jack O’Donoghue, Scituate - After a loss to Whitman-Hanson, the senior defenseman rallied the troops, scoring two goals and assisting on two in the Sailors’ 4-1 win over Silver Lake, which qualified them for the postseason.

Timmy Parlato, Needham - A captain and sparkplug on defense, he helped lead the eighth-ranked Rockets (11-2) to a 3-0 week in which they outscored opponents, 20-2, including shutouts of Brookline and Xaverian.
