Girls' basketball: Players of the week

Emma Roberson, Arlington Catholic - The senior guard netted her 1,000th career point in a 20-point effort against St. Mary’s, then put forth a 30-point performance in a 63-59 win over Archbishop Williams Friday.

Tania Holmes, Medford - Holmes recorded 49 points, 9 assists, and 7 steals in two wins.

Jess Halford, Nantucket - Halford set the school’s all-time female scoring record, netting her 1,447th career point this week. In three victories, she recorded a total of 90 points.


Blake Underhill, Ashland - The senior captain scored 23 points to go over the 1,000-career point mark this week. She also netted 13 points in a win over Norton Tuesday.

Hannah Howe-Lubowich, Arlington - The senior had 17 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, and 9 steals in a win over Belmont Friday.

Olivia Healy, Reading - The junior guard scored 27 points in Reading’s win over Watertown, notching her 1000th career point, making her the fastest female player in school history (and fifth total) to reach the milestone.

Erin Marshall, Woburn - The senior had 11 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals in less than 16 minutes in a win over Wakefield Tuesday. The guard then notched 20 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals in a win over Lexington Friday.
