Amen to that.

I personally don't care for an apology. Better baseball, however, would be appreciated.

If the fans love the Sox the way they love their families than their priorities a way out of whack.

Dan, I think your aiming at the wrong target. It's not the players who should be apologizing; it's the ownership. Think entertainment business. When I buy a ticket to a game the only expectation I have is that I'm going to see a show. The players are just chorus girls brought in to trot across the stage for a couple of hours. The quality of the product may be poor but I know the risks when I buy a ticket. One team is going to win and one is going to lose. If my team loses, I don't expect an apology from the chorus girls. I expect management to explain why the dancers weren't in step to the music and what they're going to do about it the next time I go to the show. The ownership has a new GM and a new manager. Maybe they think these actions are enough. We'll see.

Have you ever apologized for some of the lazy columns you write? For the fact that you self-plagiarize? For the fact that you take out your personal vendettas and turn them into ad hominem personal attacks? Have you ever mailed it in? Your point may be right....but you should not be the one making it
