What had been a speedy return from wrist surgery for Carl Crawford has hit a roadblock. Crawford did not take any swings on Friday and has been put on medication to ease the onset of inflammation in his wrist.

Carl Take all the time you need and then add a season, just get well, and don't lose heart. We have not seen a player of your caliber since Carl Yastrzemski and he played until he was 44. Keep your chin up.
