Minn.-Duluth gets past Black Bears

Maine’s hockey team couldn’t survive a three-goal surge by Minnesota-Duluth Saturday night after taking a two-goal lead. So the Black Bears’ renaissance season ended abruptly inside DCU Center as the burly Bulldogs handed them a 5-2 defeat in the NCAA Northeast Regional to earn a Sunday night date with Boston College with a trip to next month’s Frozen Four in Tampa on the line.
