you really should be able to cut people.

I am NOT a Jenks fan, and didn't like the deal when it was announced. But blaming him for pitching poorly, then blaming him again for not pitching when he was on the DL, is double jeopardy. Is Tony Massarotti being groomed to replace Shaughnessy as the designed Sport desk assassin? One has to wonder whether any of the Globe sportswriters ever played the sports they cover. They're becoming provocateurs with a goal of making news rather than covering it. The Globe loved Jenks when the deal was announced. The Globe also loved Valentine when he was announced. I can't wait to see how the writers will turn on him once his personality is fully understood.

Tony, Your first sentence Theo Epstein left behind a great deal of good - I assume you mean a great deal of good dead money from Julio Lugo, Mike Cameron, Edgar Rentaria, Byung-Kyun Kim, John Lackey, Matt Clement, Bobby Jenks and Carl Crawford?
