Randal Lewis thrilled despite shooting 81

Lewis’s story is as unconventional as they come. Didn’t play golf until 17. Won last year’s US Mid-Amateur, becoming that event’s oldest champion. Earned an invitation to his first Masters, and on Thursday, at 54, became the oldest first-time participant in tournament history.
