Rajon Rondo was ejected from Sunday's game in Atlanta after an altercation with referee Marc Davis.
Rondo complained about a call to Davis in the final minute of the loss to the Hawks.
Rondo then appeared to bump Davis after the referee flagged him for a technical foul.
Davis promptly threw Rondo out, and the Celtics guard was suspended one game by the NBA.
Rondo's ejection, which came with the Celtics trailing by four, drew a disappointed reaction from coach Doc Rivers.
