Adrian's getting beat up on sports radio. When will people figure out that just because a team hands you a ton of money that it doesn't make you a different player. Everyone got on JD Drew because he got $14 mil a year. Nobody understood the signing when it happened and we got exactly what JD had always been. For whatever reason Theo lost his mind on free agent signings. He used stats and his trusty accomplice Carmine the computer to make decisions about players without ever weighing what the players makeup was and how they would perform in this market. Adrian's a good hitter but he's not worth $20 mil a year. He hits 350 against mediocre teams and sub 250 against playoff contenders. He'll have the stats for you at the end of the year but don't expect this guy to hit like Manny or Ortiz. it's not in his makeup but Theo would never be able to figure that out. Good luck with Theo, Chicago!!
