Viewers’ TV guide to London Olympics

Here’s what to look for when tuning in to watch the Olympics. The Games are being broadcast on the NBC family of networks. Some of the events on TV each day, particularly in prime time on NBC, will be recorded. NBC is streaming all events live through its NBC Olympics Live Extra app and website:

What to expect: Team USA is a big favorite to be the last squad standing in women’s basketball, and their volleyball counterparts (led by Logan Tom) would like to follow suit. The host country would love to reach the men’s soccer final.

What to expect: Before the closing ceremony, the final golds to be handed out include some marquee attractions (men’s basketball, boxing) and some lesser-followed ones (men’s water polo, men’s handball).

*Men’s marathon, 6-9 a.m., NBC

*Men’s basketball, 10 a.m.-12:30p.m., NBC

*Men’s water polo,12:30-1:45 p.m., NBC

*Men’s volleyball, 4-6 p.m., NBC

Closing ceremonies, 7-10:30 p.m., NBC
