NEW YORK — NFL commissioner Roger Goodell apologized to the fans who fretted through three weeks of replacement officials calling their favorite teams’ games.
‘‘Obviously when you go through something like this, it’s painful for everybody. Most importantly, it’s painful for fans,’’ he said on a conference call Thursday, about 12 hours after the league reached a deal to bring back the regular officials. ‘‘We’re sorry to have to put fans through that. Sometimes you have to go through something like that in the short term for the right agreement for the long term.’’

This situation has made Goodell look like a lap dog for the team owners. I guess we shouldn't be surprised because that's exactly what he is.

I don't accept your apology. You and your bogus refs gave two games to the Ravens that they will never give back. The season is already over for the AFC. The AFC will go through Baltimore. And now that you've given them a two-game head-start, they are a virtual lock. So, there is little point to even watching any AFC games this year. Shove your apology!
