1.Boston College (24-10-3)

 Top returnees: F Alex Carpenter 21 goals, 18 assists, 39 points, F Emily Field 13-19—32, D Blake Bolden 8-13—21.

 Top newcomer: F Haley Skarupa. Hometown: Rockville, Md. Last year’s team: Washington Pride U-19.

 Outlook: After two consecutive Frozen Four losses, the Eagles return plenty of talent and experience. to this year’s team.

2.Boston University (23-14-1)

 Top returnees: F Marie-Philip Poulin 11-14—25, F Isabel Menard 18-30—48, F Jenelle Kohanchuk 4-5—9.

 Top newcomer: F Sarah Lefort. Hometown: Ormstown, Quebec.  Last year’s team: Stanstead College.

 Outlook: One of the deepest teams the Terriers have ever had. After an injury-plagued season, the Terriers should come back strong.

3. Northeastern (22-7-4)

 Top returnees: F Kendall Coyne 26-19—45, F Casey Pickett 18-23—41, F Brittany Esposito 9-18—27.

 Top newcomer: F Paige Savage. Hometown: Johns Creek, Ga. Last year’s team: NAHA Under-19.

 Outlook: Coming off the Huskies’ first Hockey East regular-season title, the squad returns 21 letter winners, including its top seven scorers and 91 percent of the offense.

4.Harvard (22-9-1)

 Top returnees: F Jillian Dempsey 27-21—48, F Lyndsey Frye 22-20—42, D Michelle Picard 0-7—7.

 Top newcomer: G Emerance Maschmeyer. Hometown: Bruderheim, Alberta. Last year’s team: Lloydminster Comprehensive.

 Outlook: The Crimson hope to build off last season, during which they advanced to the ECAC Tournament semifinals. They will be led by Senior Jillian Dempsey has led the team in points the last two seasons.
