Sunday baseball notes

When it comes to regrets, these baseball GMs have a few

Regrets, sometimes general managers have a few.

What they wish they had thought of in November, December, and January that would have made their lives so much easier in August and September.

I wouldn't pick up Derek Lowe, if I'm thinking about starting him. *** Lowe's agent was able to sell the Yankees into taking him by arguing that Lowe's days as a starter are OVER, because he can't go very many innings anymore, but he's still effective for a few innings at a time, here and there.

Peavy's another one I'd not pick up.  I've never liked his arm motion mechanics or wind-up.  I think he's a walking invitation to the Disabled List

The Red Sox have finally rebuilt their farm system after depleting it in foolish trades for veterans who didn't perform.  The last thing they should do is give away their young talent.  remember what happened with Reddick.

So, Nick thinks Brad Ausmus is a good choice for manager of the Sox? Isn't that EXACTLY what he said about Bobby V . . . .?????
