Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill is the latest challenger to the throne, the latest hope for the hopeless huddling masses of the AFC East that can only peer through the gate of the football palace in Foxborough and marvel at its crown jewel of a quarterback.
First-round picks have arrived and shriveled like the autumn leaves. Proven veterans, journeymen, sudden Cinderellas, men from Harvard (Ryan Fitzpatrick), Dartmouth (Jay Fiedler) and Stanford (Trent Edwards), they’ve all tried to bridge the quarterback gap in the division. They’ve all failed to measure up.

TB12 is, perhaps, the Pats greatest asset. But I like my chances against the AFC East with or without Brady. Go ahead and put him on a pedestal but I trust the team to win the Division whether Brady is behind center or watching from the sidelines.
Wilfork, Mayo, Gronkowski, Hernandez, Lloyd, Welker, Rookie Jones, Ridley, and others are more than capable as a supporting cast.
We can praise TB12 and declare his greatness without giving the impression that "He" is the reason we lead the division. This publicized agrandizement can cause splitting and resentment in a less stable locker room.
I get the fact that you have to protect your job so you stayed in the middle between Tom Brady and His Hoodiness. However, with all due respect to one of the great coaches of all time, this one is easy, it's Tom Brady. Coaches don't win Super Bowls, players do. Patriots fans have been increadibly blessed to be able to watch the greatest player of our time execute for the greatest coach of our time but if I had to pick the most important, it is clearly Tom Brady.
