In a game that pitted two of the top strikers in the state, it was Hayley Dowd and top-ranked Peabody who walked away with the 2-0 home win Monday over Andrea O’Brien and No. 8 Concord-Carlisle.
Both Dowd (136 goals, 54 assists) and O’Brien (94 goals, 28 assists) are their school’s all-time leading scorer, but only Dowd was able to add to her total, netting the first goal and assisting on the second for the undefeated Tanners (12-0). Dowd, who has been battling a hamstring injury, now has 15 goals and nine assists this season.
