Patriots coaches dropped the ball in Seattle

The Patriots coaches, led by Bill Belichick, are almost always on the ball when it comes to in-game management and decision-making.

That was not the case Sunday in Seattle during the inexplicable 24-23 loss to the Seahawks.

Comments

Agreed. The major point of poor performance for the Seattle game was in coaching decisions. In particular, it's time to change the defensive coordinator.

There is no salary cap on coaches and no roster cap on coaches.  Thus, it is unacceptable and just plain insulting that our secondary is coached essentially by two rookie coaches who are learning on the job!!!  There is no excuse not to have experienced coaches on-staff a full six years after this team started to give away games regularly.  No excuse!  Bob Kraft owes season ticket holders an explanation as to why we STILL have so few coaches and why the coaches we have are so inexperienced!  No excuse!

Hey, not every team can have a Pete Caroll at the helm. Hopefully Bill picked up some tips by watching the master and will do better next time. /gak

This should be required reading for all Pat fans! Great analysis!

@djm71 and @user_4408549: Man you guys are so right. I have been preaching the same tune... how is it that Patricia, himself, has been the de-facto D-Coord. after the 2 yrs. of lousy (i.e. worst in the league) defense (esp. the 2ndary, AND STILL HAVE A JOB?????????????? Amazing! BB seems to be in dictator role and we STILL need a GM to give a DIFFERENCE of opinion!!!!! This train is going nowhere with this type of one-sided, myopic management. I love BB, but....
