Comcast SportsNet New England’s “Postgame Live’’ program that airs after every Patriots game has become appointment television six weeks into its first season, surpassing the longer-running “Fifth Quarter’’ on Channel 4 as the go-to outlet for immediate reaction.
Whether you like him or loathe him— and there is very little middle ground — Michael Felger is a talented host, and he is joined by Troy Brown and Ty Law, who have the camaraderie and cachet of former teammates who were accomplished players. That they are becoming increasingly insightful and opinionated is a credit to them for striving to be more than just cliché-spouting ex-players, and it’s good scouting on CSNNE’s part.

Ty Law makes the Post Game Live shows worth watching. A chimp could host it. Oh wait, a chimp does host it.
Only thing missing from that show is Tony Mazz sitting on Felger's lap.
Re: EEI: Replace Meter? Why? This show is on it's last legs. If anything, get a woman, an african-american woman, now THAT would assure a bump in ratings, as well as assure Callahan a trip to the therapist's couch.
If you put Mikey on the daytime gig it would be an absolute disaster. Come to think of it, put Mikey on with D&C and hope for a quicker death.
TOUCHDOWN B-C...THEY CUT FLORIDA STATE'S LEAD TO JUST 36....YAAAAHHHH!!!
I can understand why Finn loves the CSNNE post game show. It’s as shallow and as poorly prepared and presented as his columns. If you enjoy bargain basement instant coffee as opposed to a good hot cup of freshly brewed Starbucks dark roast, then the CSNNE post game show with Ty law and Troy Brown is your cup of tea. There is no well thought out commentary, no real strategic insights, no game situation play examination, just shoot from the hip, be loud , pointed, critical and arrogant, supplemented with border patrol Ty Laws’ chatter, replete with tiresome “I made the Pats defense, not Bill” inferences. Now, if you are interested in well thought out, professional, objective criticism, then listen to and/or read Matt Chatham’s post game comments and weekly columns in the Herald. He actually describes position by position, how the defense breaks down, in a way that coaches can relate to and fans can easily understand. I can’t ever remember getting stuff like that from Ty Law or Germaine Wiggins. Are they preparing hard enough or just showing up? Just because someone was once a governor doesn’t mean he understands the people he represents and just because you played pro football doesn’t mean you understand all the facets of the game and can outline them in a manner that informs the audience. Flip chatter doesn’t cut post game analysis. But I never expected Chad Finn to know that.
